Hedly was founded by Daniel Schwartz and Michael Bassin. Before Hedly, they co-founded Talent Sam, a company that recruited, hired and managed South African professionals for international companies until Simera acquired it in 2026.
Working with hundreds of companies, they saw the same pattern: executives were losing hours every week to the inbox, the calendar and follow-ups, and the AI tools that promised to fix it still needed a person to own the result. Hedly pairs vetted executive assistants with AI tools and a weekly report, so the executive always knows what was done and what is waiting for them.
Hedly is part of the Interfell and Simera group. Every EA is vetted by Simera.
Daniel Schwartz is a co-founder of Hedly and SVP of Growth & Partnerships at Simera. He co-founded and ran Talent Sam as CEO from 2022 until Simera acquired it in 2026; Talent Sam recruited, hired and managed South African professionals for international companies. He also co-founded ScaleUpSales and led sales at Anyword. He holds a bachelor's degree from George Mason University.
Michael Bassin is a co-founder of Hedly and SVP of Sales at Simera. He co-founded Talent Sam, which helped international companies hire and onboard South African talent until Simera acquired it in 2026. Before that he co-founded ScaleUpSales and was its CEO, and was Chief Revenue Officer at FirstImpression.io, later acquired by FrontStory. He holds a BA in International Affairs and Economics from The George Washington University.
